Policies General Rules and Safety Regulations

Please drive SLOWLY - 5 MPH - to insure safety of playing children and campers. Vehicle use is limited to entering and leaving the campground only. Please walk and enjoy your surroundings.

Harvey's Lake Cabins & Campground Sign.One vehicle allowed per site. No boats or boat trailers in campground. Additional parking in overflow area for extra vehicles and trailers.

Absolutely NO parking in fire lanes. Our septic system is located just under our grassy side areas, and near our small turn around at the end of campground road. Please park at your campsite only.

Our many wildlife loves to explore food containers. Make sure your campsite is secured when retiring for the evening or leaving the site. Please do not feed or harass, and they won't harass you.

Any annoyance to campers or unsafe conditions should be reported to the office IMMEDIATELY.

Campers Lane dead-ends at the entrance to the campground. Our "gate" should be unhooked and hooked up every time you enter and leave. Thank you for this safety consideration for our children, our campers and property.

If the deadly combination of chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers is consumed, the office must be notified for help in immediate removal.

Please leave your campsite clean and tidy. Don't throw cigarette butts on the ground (cans are available at the office.) Dispose of trash in the dumpster by the trailer storage area. We donate our returnable cans, so please keep them separate and put in containers provided.

Three brothers proudly displaying fish caught from Harvey's Lake.Quiet Time - Observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. NO MUSIC, BRIGHT LIGHTS, OR LOUD TALKING. Please be especially quiet and considerate if you are arriving or leaving during this time.

Swimming Area - Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children at all times. Children MUST be attended by an adult while swimming or wading. There is NO lifeguard on duty... SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. No fishing or boating from beach area when swimmers are present. No glass or pets allowed in swimming area.

Rec Hall - Closing time is 10:00 PM. Change and ping-pong balls are available at office. Children under 12 years not allowed without older person. Both children and their parents will be responsible for any damage or vandalism.

Boat Rentals - Life preservers are provided and are mandated by State law. Unsupervised children under the age of 14 are not allowed in boats. Please do not just take the boats without renting them first.

Fires - Fires MUST be FULLY extinguished when unattended and at bedtime. No fires after midnight and small fires only. Do not throw foil, food or unburnable objects in fire. NO cutting trees or peeling birches is allowed. We will request an immediate departure without refund if this rule is broken.

Visitor Policy - Visitors of campers are allowed, but only a maximum of 8 people TOTAL per site (including campers.) Arrangements for special occasions need to be made in advance. Please have your visitors register at the office, pay fee, and display pass in window. Visitors should park in designated area outside of gate. They must leave campground by 9:00 PM. ABSOLUTELY NO visitor's pets allowed!!

Pet Policy - ALL dogs, without exception, must be leashed and quiet at all times. Never leave your pet unattended. You may be asked to show current rabies certificate. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet and are liable for any damages or injury. One pet per site. PLEASE, no dogs on the beach. Again, no visitor's pets allowed.

Harveys Lake Cabins and Campground appreciate Vermonts natural beauty and enjoys sharing it with our campers and guests. Thank you for your respect and concern in helping us provide a safe and enjoyable environment.

Cancellation Policy

The 5-7 working days between holding a reservation with a valid Credit Card # and sending a non-refundable personal check for 50%, is the only time there is no penalty for canceling a reservation.

If you need to cancel up to 180 days in advance of your stay in a CABIN a $30.00 fee is incurred. From 180 to 30 days in advance, a $100.00 fee will be assessed. If the cancellation occurs within the 30 days before your arrival, your credit card will be charged up to the full reserved rate. A credit will be given for the total, less the cancellation fee. Your balance is given for future credit to be used within 3 years of cancelled date.

CAMPSITES are charged a night’s stay and the balance given for future credit.
APPLETREE HALL deposits are forfeited and no credit given.
No cash/check refunds are ever given.

If more than one cabin or campsite are gathering together, it is requested that Apple Tree Hall or the group campfire be used. Depending on availability and amount of guests, a fee may be charged. Our fire regulations do not allow more than 8 people (including campers and guests) in the cabins. Special occasions such as birthday parties, family reunions, etc. need prior approval.
